Many of our first clients saw our musician’s perform at local restaurants and bars. Their words mean everything to me as my business is built on reputation. We’ve been blessed working with so many great people. Please take a moment read what they have said.
“My wife and I listened to a lot of different musicians in the months leading up to our wedding. We kind of liked some, really disliked others, and were on the fence about many. But I still vividly remember the moment when we landed on Andrew’s website and began listening to a sample of his music—almost immediately after hearing him sing the first few words of the very first verse, we looked at each other and said at the same time, ‘This is it.’
Beginning with his first e-mail, Andrew was by far one of the most flexible, accommodating, responsive, and all around friendliest people to deal with out of all those we hired to make our wedding day happen. We didn’t get a chance to meet Andrew face-to-face until the big day, but when we did, we couldn’t help feeling like we already knew him very well. He went above and beyond our expectations to make sure the music he played was to our liking, and he even collaborated with a couple musicians in our own families to perform some special songs during the ceremony and reception.
We could go on and on, but you get the point. If you’re looking for a musician who is exceptionally talented, easy to work with, and who will cure rather than create headaches while you plan one of the most important days of your life, then contact Andrew.”

“It was meant to be. We were having a small wedding and an even smaller ceremony (65 and 35 people respectively). We wanted everything to be intimate and feel like us. On a whim, we posted an advertisement on the Berklee School of Music board for someone to play at our ceremony. We were originally thinking violin or viola but were intrigued by Andrew’s response for acoustic guitar. The quality of Andrew’s music was so far beyond the other respondents that we decided to change our minds.
We communicated with him frequently, and he was fantastic about accommodating all of our requests including songs and artists we loved. His vast experience playing at weddings was invaluable. He gave us advice about songs for the ceremony, transition songs and the flow of the music that evening. We were going back and forth about the reception and whether we wanted a DJ or to just plug an iPod in with a playlist we made ourselves. And, as luck would have it, Andrew ended up being the absolute best of both!
He kept the atmosphere upbeat and threw in our iPod songs occasionally, specifically for our first dance and parent dances. But, Andrew absolutely stole the show! He got the crowd to the dance floor and kept them there the whole night with his perfect renditions of our favorite songs, and songs we didn’t even know we would love hearing at our wedding. His beat boxing and uncanny ability to know when the crowd really wanted to sing with him (Pink Floyd, Another Brick in the Wall) were so great, we were blown away.
Looking back on our wedding day, we both feel very strongly that it wouldn’t have been as wonderful if Andrew hadn’t been there. So many of our guests commented about how fantastic he was and we keep trying to come up with parties and ways to have him play for us again. We can’t say enough great things.

“I initially found Andrew when I posted on some of the local college music boards for a performer for our wedding ceremony. Andrew’s truly stood out because he very clearly read and understood what I was looking for as opposed to many who simply sent a generic email. In fact, in the initial posting, I noted that I would have one special request that I wanted to walk down the aisle to, and shortly after first contacting me and without my requesting it, he recorded a short demo of him performing the song and it was exactly what I was looking for.

“Thanks so much for an amazing evening. You really made the evening tons of fun and super easy for us. Thanks for all the help on planning the night and making sure that it worked smoothly. Everyone keeps talking about how awesome you two (ParkerShields Duo) were (some of my work friends already suggested that you should play at one of our work parties…)” Deborah Katzman – Katzman/Danik Wedding, June 2nd, 2012 – (BCA, Burlington, Vermont)
“Andrew saved the day for us. After realizing less than one month until the wedding day that the musician we had originally booked wasn’t what we had in mind for our Big Day, I was in a panic. It took just one conversation with Andrew for my stress to subside. He listened to what we were looking for and gave me honest answers about what he thought would or would not sound great. He learned a few songs for us and also made excellent recommendations when I was being an indecisive bride. He showed utmost professionalism by returning calls promptly, answering my numerous questions thoroughly, researching the amplification options at the venue on his own, and most importantly, showing up on time and ready to play! I would recommend Andrew for any wedding or event.” Kate & Will Krause – Witten/Krause Wedding, October 4th, 2008 – (Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, Vermont)
“We met Andrew by chance one night while stopping by a local restaurant for dinner. He hopped on the platform to join the band for a few songs and the moment we heard his voice, we knew that he had to sing at our wedding. Andrew has this powerfully soothing, even dulcet, voice. Not only did we love the rendition of our wedding song, but we quickly became huge fans of his personal work and invited him to sing his own music, along with some well-known tunes at our event. Andrew was incredible to work with and he made everyone feel at ease as they encountered him on our big day. Our family and friends have become his fans and his music CD’s are a staple in our home. We continue to catch APR shows as we’re able and would definitely recommend his services to anyone inquiring. ” Brandi Littlefield – Littlefield/Corrigan Wedding, May 21st, 2011 (The Ponds at Bolton Valley Resort, Bolton, Vermont)
“I can’t say enough great things about Andrew! He was a pleasure to work with and was full of great ideas. When it comes to being part of someones wedding he really knows how to communicate and stay on top of things. He even emailed me a few times before the wedding just to check-in with my progress–what other vendor would do that! Andrew did a really awesome job at my ceremony and cocktail hour and everything really did come together beautifully. I must say I had no doubt that it would after working with him up until that point. I would highly recommend Andrew as he is a consummate professional with amazing talent!” Melissa Spitzer – Amsil/Spitzer Wedding, August 26th, 2012 – (Renaissance Golf Club, Haverhill, MA)
“Andrew did such an amazing job at our wedding. Multiple people commented on how great you were and wondered where I had “found” him I appreciated his “can do” mentality, flexibility, and overall positive attitude. It was a treat “working” with him, and he sounded wonderful. ” Katie Smithers – Smithers/Bowling Wedding, June 23rd, 2012 (Stowehof, Stowe, Vermont)
“Working with Andrew Parker-Renga for our wedding was a fabulous experience. He took on responsibility for all the musical needs for our ceremony including bringing, setting up, and breaking down all the equipment required for music at an outdoor wedding, coordinating the processional, and performing two songs during the ceremony. And Andrew didn’t simply show up and sing at our wedding, he happily agreed to play with two other musicians from our family that he had never met! He coordinated with our family over email and arranged a rehearsal the morning of the wedding. The trio sounded beautiful. Two months later we are still receiving compliments! In addition to his musical talents, Andrew brings a warm, excited energy and was entirely professional and conscientious. From his organization and timeliness, to his heartfelt desire to make our day easy for us, to his friendly manner with our friends and family, we knew we were free to relax and enjoy getting ready for the wedding with full confidence that the music would be taken care of. We felt so very lucky!” Katherine Ryan – Ryan/Riley Wedding, September 14th,15th,2012 (Camp Mataponi, Napoli, Maine)
“You really couldn’t ask for better people (The ParkerShields Duo) to deal with for your wedding. They are incredibly helpful and infinitely flexible whether you are completely clueless or know exactly what you want for music. They really understand how crazy it gets leading up to and during your wedding day and this is one element you won’t have to worry about for an instant. From instrumental ceremony music to making your cocktail hour a party and everything in-between there’s nothing these guys can’t do. Their calm professionalism and musicianship is simply unrivaled. Just plan on hearing how good they were from your guests for a long time after.” – Adam Morin – Frank/Morin Wedding, July 13th,2012 (The Barn at Gibbert Hill, Groton, Massachusetts )
